Previously we mentioned that a developer at Flying Wild Hog said "Linux version - no, I don't think so.", but we now have a different answer :

That reply is from the same person who originally said that Linux wouldn't be a day-1 release due to a decision from the publisher. The publisher denied it and then that post was deleted.
I get that some people may not be entirely aware of Linux, but developers need to be a bit more careful when giving answers. It does still surprise me that people "without PR training" seem to be so confused about Linux. It's okay to say you don't know.
